Virgin Mojito Recipe | Non- Alcoholic Mojito Recipe

mojito recipe

This virgin mojito recipe is for the hot summer days when you’re supposed to consume a lot of liquid but water is just not the liquid you want to consume. This recipe comes to the rescue! Plus, this is a non alcoholic mojito for all those who don’t take alcohol. It is very easy to make; requires very little ingredients and the end result is worth it.

Mine looks really green in colour, looks like I’ve added some green food colour but I haven’t. It’s all natural colour from the mint leaves. Generally, in the recipes for virgin mojito people simply add some fresh mint leaves or sometimes they add artificial mint extract or ready-made virgin mojito syrup which I haven’t ever bought.

But, I crushed the fresh mint leaves a little bit just to enhance the taste. It really does effect the taste a lot. I like it a lot better this way plus you get a lovely green colour to your drink as a bonus.

Ingredients:  {Serves: 1}

  • Fresh mint leaves- 6 to 8 leaves
  • Granulated sugar- 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 tbsp
  • Sprite- 1 glass
  • Lemon slice- 1 (for garnishing)
  • Crushed ice cubes- 2 to 3 (optional; I didn’t add any because it was fine without it)
  • Salt- a pinch

Recipe for making Virgin Mojito:

Take the mint leaves and crush them with a muddler. I used the marble muddler that everyone usually has in their kitchens. Now, add the sugar to the crushed mint leaves and mix both of ’em well with the muddler.
After that, take the glass you want to serve the drink in and add lemon juice. Then, add the crushed mint and sugar mix. Stir it a little, add the crushed ice to it (optional step) and then add sprite to it. Add a pinch of salt to it and you’ll see the bubbles rushing. Serve it with a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass.

Hope you enjoy making and having your Virgin Mojito ^_^
