For today’s recipe, I have an easy paneer recipe – paneer bhurji sandwich with the step by step pictures again. This is a quick paneer sandwich recipe. You can toast it on tawa like I did or grill it in sandwich grill or panini press.
These sandwiches are so delicious. I like paneer so I loved these sandwiches a lot. I always love trying out different paneer recipes so I thought let’s combine paneer with bread. Paneer bhurji sandwich is also a good option to prepare in the morning if you have some leftover paneer bhurji. You can prepare the bhurji filling any way you like to but here, in this recipe I have used some scrambled paneer or cottage cheese and then sauteed it with some spices. You can add chopped tomatoes, onions and coriander too if you want. I didn’t have coriander and adding tomatoes is a lot of hassle so I just kept the recipe a little simpler. I didn’t add onions in the filling because I added them later on and I like them that way.
You can also eliminate the pizza sauce if you want but overall it tasted good with it so you can give it a shot too. Now let’s get started with the paneer bhurji sandwich.
There are some more sandwich recipes on my blog, so you can check them out too-

- Black pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds powder- 1/4 tsp
- Oregano- 1 tsp
- Bread slices- 4
- Pizza sauce- 1 tbsp (optional)
Method to prepare quick paneer bhurji sandwich:
Then add in the crumbled paneer or cottage cheese.
Add in black pepper powder, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder and turmeric powder. Mix well.
Add in garam masala powder and mix it well.
Then cook it for 2 to 2.5 minutes on low flame and keep stirring in between.
Then take the bread slices. You can chop off the edges if you prefer.
Optional step: Apply pizza/ pasta sauce on two of the slices.
Add equal amounts of the paneer bhurji on each of the bread slices.
Add few onion rings on each slice.
Sprinkle oregano on the top of the onions.
Make a sandwich by adding the other two slices on the top and press gently with your hand so that they’re closed nicely.
In the same pan, add in the sandwich and toast it. If you want you can add a little more oil.
Press the sandwich with a spatula so that it is compressed a little and the filling doesn’t come out.
Flip it over and toast the other side too. After that, you’re done.
