I had two of these toasts the other day for breakfast and was full until afternoon. This avocado toast takes 10 minutes to make and that’s only because we’re using hard-boiled eggs here which take longer to cook than other types of eggs.
You can use any type of toppings for this avocado toast recipe with egg. It is a very versatile breakfast recipe because of how many variations are possible. My favorite toppings are cherry tomatoes but I didn’t feel like chopping any so I just ate this as is. You can turn it into an avocado tomato egg toast.
I love to pair this avocado toast with egg with iced lattes or iced coffee. As basic as the combination sounds, it really is delicious together and I would totally recommend it.
How to Make Avocado Egg Toast ~
Take any bread slices of your choice, I used multigrain bread because I like it’s texture after you toast it and it’s also a healthy option but you can obviously use any type of bread you like.
Mash the avocado and add a couple spices & lemon juice to it. The lemon juice not only prevents the avocado from getting brown but also adds a lovely tangy flavor to the toast.
Add a hard boiled egg sliced into two and any toppings of your choice and that is pretty much it!
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of multigrain bread
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 eggs
- salt
- black pepper
- cayenne pepper
- garlic powder
Recipe for Avocado Toast with Boiled Egg:
- Boil both the eggs for 7-8 minutes. Slice them into two halves.
- Take 1/2 an avocado and mash it in a bowl. Add lemon juice, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder. Toast the slices of bread- you may use a little butter if you wish to.
- Spread the mashed avocado equal parts on both the toasts. Place the sliced eggs on the top- one egg per slice. Voila! Your avocado toast is ready to be served.
I think the whole aesthetic of avocado toasts with eggs & since coffee reminds me of the LA bloggers posting their breakfast from Philz. Share your thoughts on avocado toasts with me and what toppings you like on yours 🙂
