Easy, moist, and delicious chocolate cake in a mug in a few seconds.
This is a very simple and easy chocolate mug cake recipe. This microwave chocolate mug cake recipe is not eggless as well- uses no butter & baking powder.
I topped it off with some vanilla ice cream and a strawberry. It is perfect for a single serving dessert!
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1.5 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions to make Chocolate Mug Cake:
- Take a microwave-safe mug and add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk the dry ingredients until they’re combined.
- Add oil, milk, and vanilla and whisk to form a smooth, lump-free batter. Do not overmix. Add chocolate chips on the top. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips but feel free to use any type.
- Microwave on high for 90 seconds. First, check it after 60 seconds- if it’s still not fully cooked, microwave for 15 more seconds, and so on until it’s fully cooked. Every microwave is different so it might take 30 more or fewer seconds for your cake to be done.
