I was thinking of some creative sandwich ideas and I thought of making this Chinese grilled sandwich. This was absolutely delicious! It can make a good breakfast as well as lunch. For the times when you don’t have much ingredients yet want a gourmet meal, this recipe would come in handy.
This simple grilled sandwich recipe with cheese and just two vegetables as a filling tastes way better than the normal sandwiches. I loved it.
It is so cheesy and I love cheesiness, but only in my food

Ingredients:
- Bread slices- 2
- Capsicum- 1/2 finely chopped
- Onion- 1/2 finely chopped
- Garlic cloves- 2 to 4 chopped
- Olive oil- for sautéing & grilling
- Soya sauce- 1/4 tbsp
- White vinegar- 1/4 tbsp
- Grated mozzarella cheese- 2 tbsp (optional)
- Cheese slice- 1
- Salt- 1/4 tsp or according to taste
- Black pepper- 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp or less
(You can add more veggies like mushrooms, cabbage etc. if you want to)
Method:
Take a pan, heat it and add in olive oil. Then, add in garlic and suate it until it is translucent. Then, saute the onions until they turn pink and then add the capsicum. After that, add in soya sauce, vinegar and spices.
Mix well and keep stirring for two minutes. Turn off the heat and then add in mozzarella cheese and stir it through.
Take a bread slice, add all of the filling. Cover up with a cheese slice and then cover it with another bread slice. Oil a sandwich grill and grill the sandwich until it is golden brown. After grilling it, I switched the sides to get a checked grill on my sandwich. Yes, it adds some crispness too!
Serve hot with some tomato ketchup and enjoy
