As I mentioned in an earlier post that I would be using the leftover blueberry sauce I made for my blueberry cream cake recipe sometime and post the recipe, so here it is! I wanted to make a drink with that sauce because amount of the sauce was not enough to make another dessert.
This is a very simple soda recipe. You just need to put all the ingredients together in a glass and you’re done. It is a sweet-citrusy drink. The blueberry flavour is quite light but the natural blueberry colour is quite catchy I feel. Though the blueberry sauce was a beautiful dark purple colour but that dark purple colour fades away after dissolving the sauce in the soda. But, the colour of the drink is still pretty enough to get appreciation from guests when you serve them this drink.
I feel it would make a nice Halloween party drink because of it’s blood like colour.
Ingredients: {Serves: 2}
- Blueberry sauce- 4 tbsp [Recipe for blueberry sauce-click here]
- Lemon juice- 2 tbsp
- Sprite or any sweetened soda- 3 cups
Method to make the blueberry lemon soda:
- Take the glass that you want to serve the drink in and add 1 tbsp lemon juice in it.
- Add 2 tbsp blueberry sauce to it and stir it a little so that the lemon juice is completely mixed with the sauce.
- Add in the sprite/ sweetened soda and serve. You may also add some crushed ice to escape the summer heat (if you happen to make it in summer).
