This creamy pasta salad/ cold pasta salad or whatever you wish to call it, is one of the best pasta salad recipes that I’ve ever had. This pasta salad recipe goes well as a starter or even as a meal.
It is creamy in taste, with a hint of sweetness and a bit of tangy flavour. It’s just a perfect combination of flavours that you would want to taste in a salad.

Indian Style Veg Macaroni/ Pasta
Ingredients:
- Pasta- 1 cup (Pre- boiled)
- Mayonnaise- 3 tbsp
- Curd- 2 tbsp
- Sweet onion sauce- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp [If you do not have sweet onion, you may use 1/2 tsp of lemon juice + 1/2 tsp vinegar + 1/4 tsp powdered sugar]
- Sugar (powdered)- 1/2 tsp
- Salt- 1/2 tsp or according to taste
- Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper powder- 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp (as per taste)
- Pineapple (finely chopped)- 1/4 cup
- Olives- 8 to 12 (sliced)
- Capsicum (finely sliced)- 1/4 cup
- Corns (boiled)- 1/4 cup
- Green peas (boiled)- 1/4 cup
Method:
- After boiling the pasta, make sure to refrigerate it for about 30 minutes.
- First take a pan or a large mixing bowl and add in mayonnaise. Then, add in sweet onion sauce and mix well. After that add in curd and mix well again.
- Then, add in red chilli powder, powdered sugar and salt. Stir it well. Then, add in olives, peas, corns, pineapple and capsicums and stir them together.
- Finally add in the pre boiled pasta and mix it very well so the pasta is coated evenly with the dressing that we created. Refrigerate it for 20 to 30 minutes or until it is completely chilled.
